A little tight across my high instep

They were a little tight across my high instep, but since they're really soft patent leather, I'm hoping to ease into a better fit. They are a tad wide at the heel, but I have very narrow heels. I'll get some heel pads to try to take up some of the width there. I would recommend that anyone order plain leather rather than patent leather if you have a problem fitting a full or high instep, because patent is a little less flexible than plain leather. I ordered pink patent leather because the color and the price were right. What can I say -- I'm a sucker for pink.

I have a wide foot, narrow heel, short toes. I don't need a wide size in these and due to the squarish toe box I don't need to order 1/2 size larger. I would be most happy if they came in a dark brown!!!

LOVED these shoes but now they only come in wide! I would buy them in any colour they made - but now they no longer fit. :(

Tried on the display shoe in the store. They didn't have the size I needed. Came home and order over the phone. I was a little hesitant cause I thought the new ones wouldn't be as comfortable, maybe a little stiff due to not having been a display shoe. To my wonderful surprise I received my shoes and stepped into a shoe that fits like a slipper. It is just as soft and wonderful as the display shoe I tried on in the store. I will be ordering a few more pairs and will recommend them to family and friends. Thank you for such a comfy shoe.

Remember the ice cream cones we used to get from the Mr. Softee ice cream truck? They were so soft that the name just made sense. Well, the same applies to these shoes. I have never owned such a comfortable shoe. I actually have several pairs and I've been buying them since the early eighties.
Aesthetically, I prefer the leather to the patent leather, but they all are super comfortable. The flexible soles help me "grip" the ground. The leather uppers are soft as butter.They never rub against my toes. These shoes can be worn without socks, with thin socks, tights or hose. I just wish they came in a wider range of colors. I remember when brown and light beige leather were available in this style. If those colors ever return I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

These ARE like bedroom slippers! That's why I like them. Sure, they're not big on style, but they are super comfortable! I've worn Mr. Softee's for more years than I care to admit and hope Aerosoles keeps them in the product offering for years to come--adding more colors!! These ran true-to-size for me.

My Go-To Travel Shoe

I love my black patent Mr. Softees so much that I just ordered three more pair because I wore my first so often that I beat it to death. It's a great travel shoe--easy on and off at airport security, and comfortable hiking through terminals. They're light enough to stuff a few different colors in a suitcase, and the black patent and silver are appropriate for the office.

I am in a position to spend a number of hours a day on my feet, many times on concrete surfaces. I LOVE Mr. Softee shoes and have them in six or seven colors. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned and will continue to purchase them as new colors appear.

I love the MR Softee shoe....I seem to go to it almost
everyday. But be careful of the patent, it is not leather.
Which makes it crease and look old very fast. I will keep
ordering all colors except for this one.

I love this shoe and wish that they came in every color. Perfect fit - I wore them all day long on the first day and felt like I was in my slippers. Great shoe!

These shoes feel like wearing slippers - I love them. My only complaint is I want more colors! I have even, just to freshen them, put them in the washing machine - and they came out fine (non-agitator, hand-wash cycle washer). I'll be buying again and again.

If memory serves me, I bought my first Aerosoles Mr Softee about 30 years ago and I had them in navy, brown, black, and red. They were then and continue to be so comfortable that wearing anything more structured is like putting my feet in concrete. But here's the rub ... in the decades since I bought my first pairs, they seem to have gotten wider. A perfect fit would have earned them 5 stars. I have to wear socks with the pair I received today in order to keep them on my feet . Bought the green and love the color so much that I can't bring myself to return them. I'll find some type of inserts and pray they help keep the shoes on my feet ...
